Record Heaviest rainfall in China in 1,000 years | Many died due to Flood in China

 In the Henan province of China , at least 25 peoples died due to the flood because of most heaviest rain in 1000 years . Many dangerous and horrifying visuals of China have been circulated from past few days . Overturned cars , peoples trapped in flooded ways and streets are the common miserable scenes coming from China. Peoples are stuck in metro. 25 reported peoples died and many are missing. China's Henan province witnesses its record 617.1 mm rainfall in three days which is quite closer to annual average rainfall of that city(640.8 mm).

According to local media , a total 1.24 million peoples affected and  1,60,000 peoples were evacuated from the flooded areas. 

Shaolin Temple which is the sanctuary for Buddhist monks is affected by the flood very badly.  Streets , hotels , metros , and huge number of buildings are waterlogged.

What is the cause of heavy flooding in China?

According to the reports , the arriving  Typhoon In-Fa is responsible for such a heavy rainfall. Due to the Typhoon , air currents has carried atmospheric water and too much moistures are present in that area at the Zhengzhou city causing rain. 

Floods in China

China is constantly affected by rains every year , which causes loss of life and property. The major reason which has worsened the situation is climate change and rapid urbanization. As lands get covered by concrete structures , water logging at the surface is increasing. Last year , flood causes the damage of $25 Billion and almost 200 peoples were died or were missing. 

Which river is responsible for flooding in China?

Yellow river , which is the second longest river of China is a major reason of flooding in China. Due to Yellow river , it is harder to control floods in the area. A large scale of man - made dams is constructed to decrease the flooding effect but due to extreme rainfall , dam becomes unable to hold the water and situation gets more worsen.

1. US and Canada faced heat waves and many were died.
2. In Jacobabad , which is located in Pakistan , temperature crossed human tolerance level went up to 52 degrees Celsius.
3. Europe faced huge flooding and at least 196 are killed in Western Europe due to flood.
4. As we have seen the case of China in this article , it is constantly hit by floods and heavy rainfall.
5. India faced two cyclones back to back - Tauktae and Yaas.
